Hi Nancy - I've been wanting to try yoga for a long time because I've heard about the health benefits and the added flexibility and strength you gain. Unfortunately there are no affordable classes near me, so I've chosen to do Tai Chi instead - quite a pleasant compromise and great for co-ordination and balance.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with us at MLSTL and I've shared on my SM 😊
Tai Chi is certainly a good bet. Thanks for hosting #MLSTL and have a wonderful day.
DeleteI also have been wanting to try yoga for a long time, but I don’t like leaving my house these days unless it is absolutely necessary. I guess I should find some videos or something that I can try at home.

DeleteNever tried yoga but would like to but would prefer to do it at home. Thanks so much for linking up with me at my #UnlimitedMonthlyLinkParty 8, this party will be open until January 26. I pinned it!
ReplyDeleteMy themed party 9 for All Things Crochet is open until January 25 if you have any appropriate posts.
I would love to have you join me at my short story prompt party February 2 to 9 for fun and creativity. Just start typing and see what you come up with. Remember, no story is too short! The prompt is: The sun was shining brightly but then…
Thanks Dee for hosting #UnlimitedMonthlyLinkParty 8 and your invitations. Neither works for me. Have a wonderful weekend and have fun!
DeleteGreat post Nancy. I always notice that those who do yoga look so slim and relaxed. You bring up so many good points and reasons to do yoga!
ReplyDeleteThanks Judee. Wish you a wonderfully relaxing day.
DeleteHi Nancy, I love yoga and only really started the practice about 3 years ago. I find it such a good workout for my body and yet a calming influence on my mind. I've actually just done a practice before catching up on my #MLSTL comments. I like Yoga with Adriene and follow her on YouTube. Thanks for sharing and hope to see you at #MLSTL next week. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue for the comment and hosting #MLSTL. Yes to yoga's benefits to mind and body and yes to Adriene. I follow along with her too. Be well and have a fun day.
ReplyDeleteHi Nan, I've been wanting to check out yoga for awhile, and have moved into a community where it's offered. Thanks for all the encouragement.
ReplyDeleteThanks Beth for your comment. I am happy for you that you now live in a community where yoga is offered. Yahoo.
DeleteHello Nancy. I do yoga once or twice a week in my home, using a video instruction. I find it helps me take time to do some deeper stretching, and it's much like an extended meditation session, slowing down my breathing and bringing me into the present moment. I definitely recommend it. I'd like to try a class one time, particularly to get an instructor's input on form. However, I might not find yoga as relaxing in a group setting versus alone in my home. I'll have to give that some thought.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cristie for the visit, comment, and yoga recommendation. Let me know how it goes, if and when you take a class. One result of me taking classes with others, was an increase in my level of self-awareness. Even better, I eventually had a sense of community there as well. Be well and keep up the good work.
DeleteGreat post on the benefits of yoga. Pinned and shared!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Carol for the kind words. Wondering if you do yoga and does it help you? I'm so grateful for the social Media support. Have a productive week and be well.
DeleteHi Nancy - I go to yoga classes twice a week and have been practicing yoga for along time. I greatly enjoy the yoga benefits that you outlined. Thanks for linking up with me on Wellness Weekend. The next link up is on Feb 16. Optional prompt Hiking. I hope to see you then. #WW2020
ReplyDeleteOh my. I saw this comment a few days ago, and then got sidetracked. Sorry about that. So glad you are a long time yoga enthusiast and reap the benefits. Thanks for visiting from #MLSTL and have a beautiful day.
DeleteI have taken a yoga class before and I wish I were still taking one. They are so expensive but I think I'm worth it. When the virus issues are over I am going to seek a new Yoga class. TFS
ReplyDeleteUnderstand, thank you, and have a relaxing evening.
DeleteWithout yoga I probably would have lost my mind years ago!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment and visit Karin. Now would probably be a wonderful time to do some yoga. It's great for stress reduction, fitness, and emotional well-being. Be well and stay safe.
